Arrival at Wild Mahseer via Misa Polo Club

Sprawled like a prehistoric leviathan along the length of the Brahmaputra valley, Assam (also known as Ahom) is the biggest and most accessible of the Northeast States

Drive to Addabarie Tea Estate in Balipara, Sonitpur district through quaint towns and villages. Halfway through the journey, take delight in a scrumptious meal at Misa Polo Club (3.5 hours) Get transported to a different era gone by, surrounded by history of tea; how it was grown, harvested, transported to tea factories, manufactured, packed and dispatched towards its destination. One could also enjoy a game of golf at Misa Polo Club

After a sumptuous lunch, leave for The Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark in residence at Wild Mahseer

Visit to the Assam Rifles Mandir

 

Post breakfast, you will visit the Assam Rifles Mandir for an auspicious prayer service. Post lunch at Wild Mahseer, we will take you to the Lokra Puja festive 'Melas' in the evening to see various stalls, and return to a good, sumptuous Bengali dinner at Bhelaghar.

Communities at the Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark

 

A visit to one of the homestays in Sonitpur district is a must!  There is a large variety of local food available, prepared and served locally in beautiful natural surroundings.  Choices can be made from Nepali, Garo, Mishing, Nyishi and Bodo cuisine. All these ethnic communities provide their own form of activities like weaving, organic dye demonstrations, home garden tour, cooking class and so much more!

Tezpur City Tour

 

The cultural capital of Assam, Tezpur includes its rich historical ruins and old temples! Visit the world famous Assam Silk Emporia, where muga silk is made in Sualkuchi. Assam silk denotes the three major types of indigenous wild silks produced in Assam—golden muga, white pat and warm eri silk.
